Hello, Dark Shadows Fan,

ShadowGram (SG), The Official Newsletter & News Source for Dark Shadows (DS), announces the following breaking news in this Online News Update "bulletin."

---- DS' ORIGINAL "COLLINWOOD" ON SCYFY SERIES
---- LOUIS EDMONDS IN SPECIAL "ALL MY CHILDREN" EPISODE

**** SCYFY CHANNEL: DS & SEAVIEW MANSION ON "GHOST HUNTERS" SHOW

ScyFy Channel's popular reality series "Ghost Hunters" will feature the historic house Seaview Terrace (Mansion) / Carey Mansion in its Sept. 7 episode, appropriately titled "Dark Shadows."

The rear view of the building on Ruggles Avenus in Newport, RI, was used as the iconic image of "Collinwood" on DS 1966-71. The "Ghost Hunters" team visits the property and explores reports of possible paranormal activity.

A representative from NBCUniversal tells SG: "On the Wed., Sept. 7 epsiode of Syfy's Ghost Hunters - the most popular paranormal franchise on television - fans of the cult-classic TV show Dark Shadows can join lead investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson along with the The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) team as they conduct the first-ever paranormal investigation of Seaview Terrace, the location where the long-running gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows was filmed."

He also provides the following information about the episode and the series.

Press Release Episode Description. "Premieres Wednesday, September 7 @ 9/8c.

"Forty thousand square feet. Gothic architecture. Former girls' boarding school. Once the house where the cult-classic TV show Dark Shadows was filmed.

"The owner of the Seaview Terrace in Newport, Rhode Island calls on the TAPS team to investigate the scary happenings in her home for the first-ever paranormal investigation of the mansion where the gothic soap opera was filmed. First there was a male voice in the hall saying, `Hello, is that you?' Then there was a drastic temperature change in the 3rd floor tower. The final straw was when she reached for a door handle only to see it slowly turn on its own. Jason, Grant and the team are about to get to the bottom of all the bangs, footsteps and knocks and encounter the loudest evidence they've ever heard."

Series Information: "Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson -- plumbers by day, Ghost Hunters by night. Jason and Grant head up TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), a close-knit organization of volunteer paranormal researchers -- ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity."

More information about the episode will be in the next SG #122 print issue.

**** LOUIS EDMONDS TO BE SEEN IN "ALL MY CHILDREN" MARATHON

Louis (Roger, Joshua, Edward, Daniel, Amadeus, Brutus) played the "endearing" con man "Langley Wallingford" on ABC's daytime soap "All My Children" 1979-86, with brief returns in 1990 and 1995. The series began in 1970 and its final episode airs Sept. 23.

SoapNet plans an AMC Marathon on Sat., Sept. 17 called "I Love Lucci" (citing star actress Susan Lucci ). A very early episode with Langley is scheduled; there may be other episodes with the character. Publicity: 9-17 – 7PM - 'All My Children' Episode #1979-02567 (Original Air Date 11/27/79).... Also: Langley tries to convince Myrtle they've never met before."

Louis as Langley became a viewer favorite over time as he gradually charmed the popular leading lady "Phoebe Tyler" (Ruth Warrick). They eventually married in a storyline that celebrated love between 2 "older" characters.

Thank you.

Can't wait for that Ghost Hunter's segment!

Soapnet has the I Love Lucci Marathon schedule posted at their site: that 1979 episode with Louis in wonderful, he and Eileen Herlie spar like Tracy & Hepburn--well worth recording. It's the only Louis episode that's included.

Yeah, the Seaview show looks great!
