OT: True Blood DVD/Blu-ray Pre-order Sale
« on: May 18, 2010, 05:03:58 AM »
I know that many cousins are also fans of True Blood, and those of you thinking about ordering the 2nd Season, which comes out on May 25th, may want to do so at Amazon.com. The Blu-ray set (which is the one I've been following) started out listed at $52.99, which wasn't bad because that was the cheapest price on the Internet at the time, then it dropped to $49.99 a few weeks later, but now it's ONLY $39.99.  [ghost_shocked]  And the DVD set is ONLY $32.99.  [ghost_smiley]  Compare that to DeepDiscount.com (which is often much cheaper than Amazon.com) where they're charging $49.89 for the Blu-ray and $51.56 for the DVD. Yes, that's right - the DVD set costs more than the Blu-ray!  [ghost_huh]

Apparently, now that the sets are out, DeepDiscount.com has decided to become competitive. The Blu-ray is $39.89 and the DVD is $32.89.

And interestingly, if you're into that sort of stuff, Target has exclusive editions of both sets with a 45 minute cast interview. - though both are a few dollars more than what Amazon.com and Deep Discount.com are charging. And, of course, Target charges sales tax in the states with sales tax...
