Please gently explain to your daughter that the only Giles I've ever known was a guy I went to high school with - Giles Moran. I haven't seen him since the day we graduated - and I have no idea if he's alive or dead. So, I suppose that means the answer is no.

Oh, it really is a forefinger.  It's not a "family board" and though I hadn't thought about it before I'm pretty sure I'd draw the line at an avatar (and smiley too-- yes, I know they're out there) that flips readers off.

It does work. Perhaps there was too much Internet traffic at the time. The thing is that you might have to wait a while before it reports that it's downloading. It might not begin to show progress until the download is already 48% of the way through.
