Now, now. As wonderful as it might be that DS is doing so well in the poll, and as inspired as it might have been to possibly sing songs to mark whenever DS leapfrogs other shows, it's probably best not to get cocky. After all, we wouldn't like it if other fandoms rubbed it in our faces as/if they passed by DS, so we should probably remain respectful.    Though quietly and inwardly doing somersaults seems perfectly appropriate.

Well, I try to maintain a public semblance of respect and dignity, MB... However, if fans of the other shows come here to lurk and spy, well, it has been said that an eavesdropper seldom hears anything good about himself. However, on the off chance that Dark Shadows fans here might also be fans of the shows we're passing, I will attempt to moderate the inevitable good-natured (really!) trash-talk =^[.]~=.

A slow day, yesterday, and, a bit of a disappointment.

Yesterday, everybody else's votes were up, as anticipated... except ours, which dropped. I have NO idea what happened. Still above 400 daily votes (marginally), but, we have been hovering at 11 days away from #37 for three days, now.

I know you won't believe it's me saying this but - don't get discouraged.  People are still away for the holidays or have taken vacation to recover from the holidays.  I work in a major city and even this week there has been little or no traffic on the streets.  I work in a company with over 500 people in it.  It's still a ghost town, much like the week before Christmas.  You'll get your voters back.

Still over 400, but, no real growth.

The Northern Exposure voters sure had some growth! We're still catching up with them, but, our vote advantage slips when we don't increase our votes, and, they do.

Anyway, looks like NX will put up such a fight as they can, but, our passing them within the next 11 days or so is inevitable. Keep in mind that today is Friday, chronically the worst voting day of the week. If we don't want to drop below 400 daily votes, again, we need to push a little harder.

Our votes dropped to just below 400, yesterday. Still, we've been over 300 votes/day for almost a month, so, we're doing pretty well.

Back over 400 votes, again, yesterday, we did well against NX, whose votes dropped. We still need to get our votes into a more solid position, well into the 400+ range. We have a year. We need to make each day count, in order to maximize our position!

This isn't a banner congratulating DS per se, but in celebrating Fan Power, a scene from DS is added to 1/5/2008 banner.  For some reason I've been unsuccessful in showing the banners on this forum [although I can see it when I preview my message] so I'm adding the link for others to see.  It is not the original banner since I don't have the means to copy an *.swf file but I captured the main shots to make this animated file.
