OPEN DOOR POLICY
« on: May 14, 2002, 07:38:28 PM »
For Centuries the Collins' Family has opened their door to many houseguests. I am sure our ProfStokes could give us the exact number (perhaps even the break down between male and female ) of live-in visitors. From this  interesting group, please select the individual that you would like to have come visit and why.
It is a good day because I am still ticking!

Pre-vampire Barnabas.  He seemed so gracious.

I live in an exciting city, Las Vegas, there's so much to do and see here, so this calls for a special visitor, Harry Johnson. After we date for a while, we can get married in one of the lovely wedding chapels. ;)

The Collins' evidently never heard the maxim that guests and fish stink after three days.  My pick would be the visitor who never left, Dr. Julia.  Right now, in the aftermath of a car accident and the trials of dealing with the insurance company, she AND her bag of wonders would both be welcome.  And if things get to be too much for me to handle, she can always get me a room at Wyndcliffe.

I'd enjoy having post-bitten Willie.  He was such a terrific carpenter and maid!

Love, Robin

;) I'd have Barnabas, pre-vampire or not.  Whenever I get around him, I giggle like a ten year old girl.  he-he
Cassandra:  I have a potion.  You know it well.  As soon as she drinks it, within an hour, she will go to sleep and have the dream.
Nicholas:  I am much to talented to spend my time drugging drinks.

The problem with inviting anyone is that they all act like the man who came to dinner and never seem to leave.

Hmmm. I would say lover-boy Roger, but I think he and I would do much better on his home turf. Can't imagine him in my little house!

I can only think of the time that Barney was ringing some one's door bell and my son sighed and said "I wish Barnabas would come visit US!"

Kinda reminds me of John Belushi in Sat Night live The
Guest who wouldn't leave!
luckily Collinwood was big enough to hide in your own wing!
But have to say Willie because he was so eager to please and I hate housework!

VAM, if I didn't know you better, I'd think that sounded like a challenge.  ;)  Since you mentioned it...

That was my whole intention of having Harry Johnson come for a visit and stay and never leave. I have no problem with that! Prof Stokes, I just knew you would come up with those answers. You really are amazing, good work!

Dr. Julia was obviously **servicing** someone off-stage., would that be Roger or Elizabeth?? hmmm  ;)  Am I gonna get tossed off this board for even suggesting it??  :o

I wouldn't mind having Julia as a house guest. Not only is she a doctor, but she also seems genuinely concerned about the people around her. :)

I know you are into numbers ProfStokes! ;)

You forgot  some visitors from the past - Angelique/Valerie in 1897 and 1840 ( I guess you considered her a Collins). Also Lady Kitty stayed at Collinwood in 1897.
Joanna Mills (Daphne's sister) was a guest in 1840.
The Dupres (Josette, Natalie and Andre) and Angelique were their first visitors in 1795.
It is a good day because I am still ticking!
