Still don't know how to get my Afan in color at the top of the left hand corner.  Any suggestions?

First, let me say that the "shadow", "glow" and "move" effects don't show up in any version of Netscape that I've tried, but anyone viewing the board using Internet Explorer will see them.  Secondly, as with all YaBB tags, they have to be typed correctly; just click on the beige box with the shadowed D to get the complete code you'll need to use to get that effect, or check the Help section under Posting/YaBBC.

As for your name in the top left, those are already shadowed according to membership status but, again, the effect can only be seen using IE.  The shadow color will be the same as the color of your star(s); in your case, Afan is shadowed in black to indicate your status as a DS Forums Newbie.

This is totally weird.  Having said I'd finally vote, I went back to the top, and I think I clicked the "vote" button.  All I found was the results, but no way of voting.  I tried bringing up the topic fresh.  I tried back a few more times.  Then, I left the site and came back a couple of hours later.

Josette, this is exactly how the polls work-- the button you clicked was labeled Submit Vote, and since everyone is allowed one vote, the current results will continuously display for any cousin that has already submitted a vote.  So, before you clicked the Submit button, did you make a selection [check one of the radio buttons]?

With YaBB code, if there's one little typo then the little buggars won't work.  Each tag is enclosed by [ and ] but not { or }.  Here are examples of tags that might come before your message text:

[b]             (bolds)
[u]             (underlines)

Following the 1st tag and the message text you'll type the 2nd corresponding tag, which must contain the symbol /

These tags correspond with the list above and will come at the end of your message text:

So to make your post pink, the tags have to contain all these keys:
[color=Pink]your message[/color]
