David Selby will play Richard Patrick Woolsley III in an episode of the new TNT legal drama Raising the Bar. The series premieres on Monday, September 1, at 10:00 pm ET/PT. "Richie Richer," the episode in which Selby appears, airs on Monday, September 22, at 10:00 pm ET/PT.

Episode synopsis from the TNT press release:

Richard’s extremely wealthy father offers Roz a job at his high-profile firm. Jerry defends a destitute mother whose arrest may be part of a police tactic to pressure her into testifying in a murder case. Richard and Bobbi team up on a murder case in which the suspect was defending his property from being stolen. As Judge Kessler continues to position herself as a political candidate, Charlie gets an unexpected visitor.

Selby plays the wealthy father. Series regular Teddy Sears plays his son.

I don't have any info on that one way or the other. Since the character outline for Richard emphasizes his relationship with his father, one would assume there's potential for additional appearances, but they've filmed 10 episodes of the series, and Selby appears in only one.

They've switched a couple of episodes around so that the TNT press site is now showing this episode as airing on September 15.

Now I'm being told that the original September 22 listing is correct, but some Turner sites list September 15, so you might want to record that episode just to be on the safe side.

Thanks, MB. Apparently, this isn't the first date-related blunder that TNT has made with the show. I've read elsewhere that on the day before the show premiered, the countdown to the premiere on the show's web site was a week off. Nice.

I don't know. I keep looking for job postings that say, "Attention to detail is not necessary," but I'm not seeing them. I must be looking too carefully.

The episode did air on Monday night. It will be rebroadcast on Saturday, September 27, at 2:00 pm Eastern. It should be available for viewing on TNT's web site beginning Monday, September 29.

A tip regarding the web site: I've had no luck with viewing video from the TNT site in Firefox. It demands that you install a plugin, and the plugin never seems to install properly. This is one of those rare instances when I would recommend IE.

Thank you for the heads up about the plugin, MsC, cuz I've tried more than once to get it right.  But I did catch it on cable last night to see his appearance.  He looked really good.  Really.  Good.

I also watched the premiere and some of the 2nd ep-- more than enough to decide I don't like the show-- and I think it's pretty sad that this week's guest stars (Selby and Wilson Cruz) provided the only scenes I found interesting.
