If you took Dr. Lang's creation, Adam, and put a pair of dark sunglasses on him, and gave him a dark, shoulder-length wig to wear, you'd have the spitting image of the so-called King of All Media, Howard Stern!

ADAM (as Howard Stern): "Ba-Ba-Barnabas...make me King Of All Media and create for me a news-reading sidekick or I'll made Vicki strip on my show!"

Whatever kind of vehicle Barnabas may drive, it is certain that he refers to it as a "horseless carriage"...

I just think the intrepid Dr. Hoffman simply enjoyed the attention of young Tom Jennings--even if he was a frickin' vampire!

It's the most action she ever got in Collinsport!

I have always considered Briscoe to deserve the "most improved" DS acting award.

As opposed to...?

One of the cardboard tombstones on the cemetery set? A wingback chair? A snifter of brandy? The ubiquitous boom mike shadow?

I really dig the ultra-groovy music they play at the Blue Whale... ::) ;D

And why is Willie so skiddish about grave robbing? Isn't that how he met his pal Barnabas?! :o

I've just been trying to figure out the structural design that keeps Nicky's hair looking like that.

Did he bring in the guys who built Hoover Dam...?

Or is it a pact with Satan's hairdresser...?

?!? :o :-/

Willie should have said:"Yeah Barnabas - I got yer dead bodies right HERE!"
(making the appropriate gesture of course)-CLC

But then Willie would've been savagely beaten about the head and shoulders with a wolf's head cane.

And, really...who wants that?

I think joel crother's last appearance is in 68, no?  He was on track to marry maggie - so either they must have a big break up fight, or he dies.

Perankh:

First off, welcome! :)

If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere on the boards that Joel Crothers' last appearance was in the early part of '69. He's still has more storyline coming up, but I won't spoil it.  ;)

To the general question of the Adam storyline, I like it okay--I certainly don't have the intense hate vibe for it that I'm off other posts.

I think the story builds with enough drama and there are some twists along the way--especially when Nicky Blair gets involved.

And it has the required elements for a Dark Shadows storyline: it's romantic, gothic & creepy--all wrapped up in a dark little package.

But that's just me.

Ah, Birdie, but the real question is:

Did you happen to meet any "English cousins"...?  ;)
