Maybe that's why Hallie is so wary of Barnabas and Julia. They have the stink of evil from 1995 on them!

I just enjoyed Julia being under the thrall of Gerard Stiles, and reverting to her sociopathic spinster ways--however briefly...

I know that the apparently unnamed 1995 sheriff said that he had grown up in Collinsport, but to me, Collinsport's top cop sounded more like a product of Birmingham, AL than of Bangor, ME!
And his greasy Deep South pompadour didn't help matters!

Bob, you crack me up...

Stokes' '95 character looks to be about age 75, which for 1970, was considered old (my father-in-law just turned 74 last Sat, he's not so 'old').
You're right, of course, but it does seem like poor Professor Stokes has had a harder time of it than your average man his age... :o

Somebody is clearly too busy airbrushing beefcake graphics from The O. C. to bother with the few bits of quality left on the air.
Ain't that the truth!

I just sat through the first 10 minutes of FOX's rerun of the pilot--and then I went back to the Dark Shadows episodes I taped this morning.

Given that Inspector Hamilton was a good friend of Hoffman the housekeeper, they could have used the opportunity to have Robert Gerringer play Inspector Woodard!  Even in PT they would have been friends, just in different careers.
Cool idea!

Maggie's imbecile posturing also ruins the concept of Cyrus/Yeagar's obsession with her, for me at least.  It doesn't really help matters that the obsession seems pretty much to come out of nowhere.
Exactly! He holds her hand, he smells her gloves...voila! The idiot's obsessed!  ???

Come on....it's Angelexis...you know what she would've done
But since it's Dark Shadows, we pretty much knew from the outset that it would be a short-term character in which we had little emotional investment.

True.

Chris Pennock's mop was fine when he was playing the spoiled, murderous Jeb Hawkes, but when I see that mess all pushed over to one side as Cyrus, all I wanna do is yell, "get a haircut, ya hippie!"

:o I was appalled that nobody called an ambulance when Quentin was thought to be dying. Even the good Dr. Longworth didn't seem prepared to take the steps NORMAL doctors do under the circumstances. Glad I wasn't living in this time band. I wonder how they handled emergencies!!!
Well, do you really think Collinwood's real time physician, Dr. Julia Hoffman, would have called an ambulance? No, she would've simply given Quentin a sedative... ;)

No matter the period or time band, practically every DS character behaves stupidly at some point or other.
That subject in and of itself could be a very thick trade paperback from Pomegranate
