[pointing-up]  [a1f5]  [naughty]  [thumbleft]  And that caption reveals a whole new twist to Quentin and Trask's relationship that goes well beyond Trask addressing Quentin by name rather than as Mr. Collins, which is quite a surprise in and of itself!!  [nodassent]  Love it!!

(I'd thought Q was saying that, about what Trask had just been doing with his hands)

Trask: "I don't care what Harold Pinter wrote about. I'm NOT doing that."

([pointing-up] I've loved Harold Pinter even since I first read him in high school, but I'm ashamed that I have to confess I'm not getting the reference.  :-[)

It's a reference to the master/servant relationship in The Servant. Two characters begin as master and servant but by the end of the play, their roles have reversed. The two leads are Dirk Bogarde and James Fox.

[pointing-up]  DUH!!  [6184]  The caption is perfect!!  [thumb]

(And what makes me feel even dumber now is that during senior year of high school a friend and I chose to take some of the scenes from The Servant, translate them into French for our French IV class, and then perform them - all as a class assignment.)

Thanks, MB! It sounds like that you got to so much cooler stuff in your high school that I did in mine. (And I had four years of French too.)

(2 non-consecutive years of French here; I really wish I remembered more.  Nouns yes, conjugtions no.)
