Almost DS Related...
« on: October 28, 2002, 08:11:00 PM »
It's sort of a long story so I will spare you all the details, but I started a web site not long that lists photos and information concerning dogs and cats in and around my town who are in need of homes.  I do this to help out some people I know who donate lots of time, effort and space (they foster many of these animals in their own homes).  They send me all the information and I crop the photos, spruce them up a bit, reduce the file size and add the text to the site.  Today I received a photo of a cat named "Willy"...so, when selecting the font for his name I, of course, felt compelled to break out the Old English text - in honor of DS and our one and only keeper of the Old House, vampire sidekick and all around handyman.  A minor point I know and one only we DS fan-atics would get.

::Shameless Plug:: (I'm always willing to make a sap of myself if there's a remote chance it will help these guys find homes) If you live anywhere near Indianapolis and are in the market for a great dog or cat to brighten your home... the site is at http://castlebee.bravepages.com .  Willy just joined the crew so he's still available.

Thanks jennifer.

And to you and any others who have gone to the site I apologize for the over abundance of popup windows [pissd].  I swear they weren't as bad when I first opened this site a couple of weeks ago - seem to increase by the day.  Today they were literally overwhelming!  I just went there to make a change to two pages and got so caught up in them that I couldn't see what I was working on!  Hmmmm, do ya think they're trying to hard sell me on the premium site or what?!!  Geez!

My little girl wants a dog so bad, but I really don't want one in the house, and the swimming pool and spa take up the whole backyard. My neighbors are always asking me if I want one of their puppies. Those puppies become big dogs.

All the animals are adorable! I would love to have tons of pets, but for now, I can only have one-a CRAZY [silly] cat named Patches.

How about a Yorkie? Or you may want one that's both small and doesn't shed - poodle, schnauzer.  If fur bothers you though, do NOT get a corgi. Mine is a regular dust bunny factory! But I wouldn't trade him for a million $'s.

Castlebee,
You are so sweet to help out our furry little friends.  You have the same kind of dog Queen Elizabeth favors.
I always get my pets at our local animal shelter. I currently have three cats.  Molly(is that a cat or a holstien), Peaches(lion trapped in a cat suit) and Penny(tiny cat, huge heart). "Cats are the chocolate chips in the cookie of life".

I have allergies, so if I ever do decide to get a dog, might consider a poodle. I would want a female, fixed of course.

Castlebee, that is just wonderful!!  Im a real animal lover and I find what you're doing truly beautiful!

I have 4 cats myself and if I had a bigger place, I'd take more! The last two cats my daughters found as kittens wandering around like two little lost souls.  To me, cats are like "Angels with fur"   I just adore them!

Thanks for all that you do for these animals! [thumb]

Dear Castlebee,
You are a wonderful, caring person to do what you
are doing to help these animals finds homes.
We already have a black lab/ terrier mix we adopted
when he was a pup. Rascal is almost 12 years old
now. And a cat, named Samatha, we found just
a few months after Rascal when she was just a tiny
kitten.
I will keep my ears open for anyone looking for a
pet though and tell them about your page. As I do
live only about an hour away from Indy.
