Well, since Midnite posted that "bar gang" photo, I thought I'd better respond ...  

I truly wish I could go this year, but right now it doesn't look too likely.  Finances.  There's hope, but it's not looking too good.

So sorry, Midnite!  Of course I didn't mean to overlook you. I am very lucky to have a couple of friends fairly nearby with whom I can discuss the show; however the vast majorty of people that I know have no idea what I'm talking about when I bring up DS.  I was terribly isolated before I discovered DS on the web.  (Glad those days are over! )  Still, it seems to me that most of the fans that I've met from the Internet live in the East or Midwest.  About half of the regular members on one forum that I visit live in Ohio.  I would have expected to see more Californians in the mix since the state is so big.  I will definitely look into the Shadows in the Sun group, Bette.  Thank you for that information!

Great photo Midnite. This is the first time I've seen that one. ( I don't even recall it being taken, but that could be alcohol related) :)Would it be possible to secure a copy of it?

Oh, VAM, was that you?  Of course I remember you -- you had the best costume disguise of all!  I don't think I ever met you when you weren't wearing the costume, or did I?  You aren't in the photo posted here, are you?  (Thank goodness that photo appears very small on this page -- I didn't find it very flattering of myself, personally speaking, though others may have been happy with it.)  

I did meet Bette who started this thread.
