Current Talk '07 I / Re: More 1795 questions.
« on: January 10, 2007, 08:43:41 AM »
Barnabas never told Julia about his vampire curse origins because he likely didn't trust her enough. Sure, he was recieving injections from her, which needed a certain level of trust, but hey, does a guy have to reveal all 200 years of his past? I mean, if that were so he would've told her about going back to 1897, and 1840!

Now there was the one time when Barnabas took Julia to Widows Hill that he told her something about his past... Although later it was proven to not be the truth when they went to 1795.
Originally what Barnabas told Julia was the day that Josette was to arrive by ship. Barnabas didn't want to go to the shipyard to meet his middle age uncle's new bride, but  he went anyway, or was forced into going,  and from the first moment that Barnabas saw Josette he fell in love with her. But Josette loved his uncle Jeremiah, but as time passed Jeremiah began to grow older and basically Josette began to fear growing old.  So Barnabas decided to do somethiong about it.
Which brings up this point...

It was implied in the version told to Julia, that Barnabas became a vampire of his own free will to be with Josette.

That was the impression I got anyway.

Current Talk '06 II / Re: Annoying Shadows

To me, nothing was more annoying than hearing that damn tape recording with Lang's voice:

"Julia...when...when you do the experiment again (and so on)...." >:(

They played the that dang thing over and over AND OVER AND OVER again so often, it got to the point I couldn't even stand listening to the characters talk about ithe message. :-

My father always said that if the actors/actresses on the show heard that, the same way (we) the audience did, repeated over an over again. That even the actors/actresses, who were not good at remembering their lines, should twenty years later be able to remember it word for word. Because getting that out of ones head after hearing it so often was not an easy task to do.

It did get old after awhile.

Is this file still 100MB now that it has been switched to this format?

Love Mr. Frid and I can understand him having to change the way this is viewed because of the bandwidth issue, but this format is going to leave alot of us out in the cold especially if it is a really large file.

The last time I tried to view a streaming video embedded in a webpage it took 6 hours to load completely and it was like 12MB.

I hate to think how long it would take 100MB to load.

I'm cursed with dialup. [hall_cry]
