Barnabas: So you thought you could fool me into thinking that diamond broach is the warm fuzzy glow of your heart.

Angelique: Well, a girl's got to try every trick in the book at least once.

Julia, Barnabas' lover??  I know you Graysonphiles are in heaven now...
Damn right!!! ;D

Damn right!!! I second that 100%!!!

That must have been going on all the times Barnabas and Julia were left at the old house and we were taken to another scene somewhere else and missed out on all that action at the old house.  >:D

OMG! I am very honor that he placed those photos of himself [doesn't he look great!] on his website and credited me.

I saw that... That was way cool. I know you are dancing around on cloud nine.

Way to go [banana]

Current Talk '05 I / Re: Vicki as Josette

In some respects, I think DS borrowed the worst of traditional soap opera story telling and ignored the best.

The writer's did something else too... They had this habit of telling us one thing and then later on it became something different.

Example:

When Barnabas and Julia were on Widow's Hill and Barnabas was telling her about Josette. Barnabas said that Josette came to Collinwood to be Jeramiah's bride and that from the first time he... Barnabas saw her he fell for her and that even though as time passed Josette loved Jeramiah that she became fearful of becoming old. That is when Barnabas began to win her affection. That he would do anything to be with her.

It seem to be hinting there that Barnabas became a vampire willingly to be with her.

But when they went into the past... The story was completely different and Barnabas was the one Josette came to Collinwood to marry.

When you saw that it was like what? That wasn't what Barnabas told Julia, in an earlier episode, when they were on Widow's Hill.

For me it was Abigail Collins... There wasn't an ounce of compassion in her.

As for would-be. .well this is out there but watch the last 2 episodes Countess DuPres appears in while she and Joshua are trying to help Barnabas and tell me you don't see chemistry (after the initial I hate you-you're country is dull/I hate you-you're an arrogant overthrown gentry ) chemistry between Joshua and Natalie-- [cya]

Well didn't Naomi at one point and time accuse Joshua of being to friendly with the Countess or did I dream that?

Dr. Woodard: What does Barnabas have that I don't have?

Dr. Hoffman: Well here's my list... Would you like to see it?

Current Talk '05 I / Re: Will the REAL Angelique please stand up!

Perhaps there was another reason for the 1840 Angelique scene. Had Dark Shadows not been canceled it could have been that the story would have taken a turn that Angelique manipulated events and that's how Bramwell and Catherine ended up together.

Angelique was a witch and just because one storyline said she no longer was evil. Didn't mean she wouldn't have been again.

When has a soap opera ever let the character's live happily ever after?

For me the saddest scene is where Sarah dies in Barnabas' arms. That was a very emotional scene.

I envision the same thing except Julia wakes up the next morning thinking she is next to Barnabas but she feels a beard tickling her ear and the voice of Nickolas Blair says "Have some Madeira, my dear."

This I couldn't resist...

Current Talk '05 I / Re: Things to Hate About DS

The loose, wobbling bannister at the Old House.  That's all I hate.  Sooooo unnecessary.    ::)

 ;D

I read somewhere that the staircase at the Old House wasn't a complete staircase and that  the actors had to use a chair to step up and down to get down on the other side, once they were out of camera range.

I guess that explains Grayson Hall's ability to step up and down so easy in that chair when she had her red notebook stashed away on top of the... I can't think of the name for what that type of closet is called.

I can't climb worth a flip. I'm like holding on for dear life when I have to use the step ladder to change a light bulb.

As for what I hate about Dark Shadows... I hate that it was canceled.
