Title: OT: Greystone appearance
Post by: Gothick on March 14, 2023, 04:58:14 AM
Fans of Greystone, or early 1960s Gothic supernatural stories, might enjoy this 1962 episode of the anthology series, THE DICK POWELL SHOW. "The Clocks" features guest star Joan Fontaine as a widow haunted by the ghost of her dead husband. Future MASH star Wayne Rogers appears as a wise-cracking scientist helping his friend, a professional parapsychologist, investigate. STAR TREK alumna Celia Lovsky (T'Pau in "Amok Time") appears as the housekeeper.

Several scenes were shot on location at Greystone.

Thanks, Gothick. I will definitely check it out because you've got me curious on several levels, particularly seeing Celia Lovsky because I've never seen her in anything other than that ST ep.

I recognized  her in a couple scenes in The St Valentines Day Massacre because of her distinct voice and accent. I'll always remember De air is de air..

Celia has a good substantial role in this 1959 episode of the Michael Rennie-Jonathan Harris series, THE THIRD MAN, "How to buy a country":

Celia shows up in a number of the old-time late night shows on MeTV.  One I particularly like is "Queen of the Nile" from the last season of "Twilight Zone."
