(I doubt Anne Rice has forgotten about the implied connection because supposedly she became quite miffed when the Sci-Fi Channel asked her about it while shooting their ill-fated DS Sciography installment.)

That's the only one of her books that I ever read. I really didn't care for it. Way too much vampire angst.
