Custom Avatars?

whenever i go to my profile, and enter the url, and save it all, the proper avatar never shows

Any chance of getting a selection of DS avatars specifically for the board?  Maybe just the main characters, etc? [/obvious]

That's something that's definitely coming down the line, Stuart, but as I mention in Benefits Of Registration, right now anyone who'd like a DS related image to use as their avatar have to make a special request. Unfortunately I just haven't gotten around to making any yet.

And BTW, I've always loved that publicity shot of Grayson Hall for NoDS that you're using for your avatar.

Cool -- BTW, the Grayson pic is from my website homepage -- by conicidence it's ideal avatar size   There's a few other ones on the same page of different characters in the same format -- anyone on here's more than welcome to use them.

akhet, if the pic is stored on geocities, tripod, or any of the other sites (angelfire?) that don't allow their images to display on sites that aren't theirs, then that's probably the reason it didn't show up in your profile.  Unfortunately, the same goes for images you might try to place in a message here or on any board that also isn't theirs.

But though dsboards can't EMAIL aol addresses, images stored on their pages do show up here.  Go figure.
