(As I recall, the first version did very well in the ratings. I didn't pay attention to the ratings for the remake...)

The first is very campy fun. The second makes the mistake of pitting Satan against Shannen Doherty. Only one of them was ever mandated to attend anger management classes.😈😈😈😈😈
