Thanks for the link, J-C,
and what a nice tribute from Briscoe's school chum. The more I learn about Don Briscoe's life, the more fascinated I become. My hope is that his passing will encourage some of the DS actors (who tended to say little or nothing about Don at the conventions) to recall and share anecdotes about acting with the heartthrob.

Sandor dear--You can stand at the mike this year and ask when we're in Hollywood.  .I don't think i could do it again--I can't forget the blank faces i got when asking for a 'gracious, maybe humorous story about Grayson' rather than Roger Davis' whining about her getting so many lines cuz basically she slept with the writer--bla bla bla Roger!  Hold your hair!  Of course when i said i was there as part of the Grayson Hall group she got a round of applaus that matched Selby's entry into the room--

He was also the first person I knew who charted his moods and during the winter of 1956-57 had a chart on the wall above his desk where he would record his mood 4 or 5 times a day for the remainder of that school year

How interesting! I wonder if Don knew then that he had some sort of "emotional?" problems even then? ??? Intersting that the person is a doctor (said he went to med school) and would remember that sort of detail from almost 50 years ago.

Maybe he was just ahead of his time. Some of today's blog templates include a section to record your mood with your entry.  ;)
