[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]

Complete the phrase: Gerduh - "Welcome to Collinwood, Mr. Stokes! And may I (say)(ask)...!!"
-
Will you be pulling a rabbit out of that hat?
-
[pointing-up] That's too, Too, TOO PERFECT!! [spin] [thumbleft]
-
"But that trick never works!"
-
([pointing-up] Can you imagine if Stokes tried it and actually did pull out a Rhinocerous?! [yikes])
-
Must see TV for sure!!
-
([pointing-up] A whole new type of threat at Collinwood!! [santa_wink])
-
Perhaps Eliot could join the teaching staff at Wossamatta U. [3843] [4096] [3843]
-
([pointing-up] Brilliant idea!! [nodassent]
One of the thing I love about The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle is that it works so well on two levels: kids certainly find it funny - but there are so many things in it for adults, like naming the university "Wossamatta U.", that probably go over young kids heads but the adults definitely get it. The writers were great about doing that. And it's one of the reasons the show still holds up today and probably always will.)

[sledding] It wasn't until many years later that I learned that the name Boris Badenov was a take off on a Russian opera called Boris Godunov.
And I actually got to visit the Dudley Do Right Emporium on Sunset Boulevard, which was adjacent to the Jay Ward studios. Lots of cool decor, especially the Rocky and Bullwinkle statue outside. Sadly, the place was torn down a few years ago.
-
([pointing-up] What fools tore that down?! [santa_angry])
-
I don't recall what was built there afterwards but it was located on a very posh section of Sunset Boulevard, close to The Viper Room and other California dens of iniquity. The rent had to be sjy high. Whenever I went in there, I was the only customer, so they weren't doing a lot of business.
I believe that the Rocky and Bullwinkle statue survived the purge. At least I hope so.
-
([pointing-up] One can only hope. But it's too bad the place is no longer there for fans to visit...)
-
I agree. There is at least one Facebook site that has pictures of the store and grounds. If the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie hadn't been such a bomb, perhaps it might have bought the place some more time. [christmas-bells] [8_2_76] [christmas-bells]

Well, at least there's that...
-
I just learned that there is a chain of Bullwinkle restaurants/arcades similar to Chuck E. Cheese that has been around for quite some time. Alas, there are none currently operating in the northeast. There are a couple in Washington state, which would place them fairly close to Twin Peaks. Which somehow seems quite appropriate.
-
([pointing-up] Very interesting and very appropriate!! [nodassent])
-
Indeed. I wish I knew someone in the area who could go there and take pictures.
