Yet Another DS Reference In An Article - However...
« on: May 02, 2005, 07:09:30 PM »
...this one wasn't exactly reasearched very well:

It's hardly the first television show to boast a Connecticut setting. Lucy and Ricky Ricardo spent their final seasons on "I Love Lucy" in Westport; a "Bewitched" Samantha Stephens stored her broom in the closet of her home at 1164 Morning Glory Circle in Westport; and "Dark Shadows" used exterior shots of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion in Norwalk.

Hello! DS used Norwalk's Lockwood-Mathews in hoDS, NOT the series. However, the series did shoot many Essex, CT exteriors to represent Collinsport. But then, why spend time getting your facts correct when you know that most of your intended readership won't know the difference anyway, right?  [sad3]

For what it's worth, the entire article (which is actually about Gilmore Girls) can be read on The Stamford Advocate's Web site.

Well, I realllllly didn't think the Steven's lived on Morning Glory Circle, but googling it found it so.

But...I don't believe it was Connecticut...I thought it was NY...

OT but I didn't realize there was going to be a "Bewitched" movie w/Nicole Kidman & Will Farrell...

Thanks MB
