Fill in the blank: "Vicki was shocked and wondered what Nicholas would say if she told him that she'd looked out the window at Blair House and saw the last person(people) she expected to see: ________ - and he(she)(they) was(were) ________ right there in the open where anyone could have seen them!!

Vicki was shocked and wondered what Nicholas would say if she told him that she'd looked out the window at Blair House and saw the last person she expected to see: a stagehand- and he was right there in the open where anyone could have seen him!!
