If you notice, the totals that are listed are the totals you already had from clicking on the previous floaties. The way the feature is written is such that whenever I change the image and it's description, the new description is listed in members' profiles. It doesn't mean that the totals are specific to that particular floaty - they're cumulative.
And the description will change again once I change the floaty image again tomorrow.
A couple of times as I was clicking a link one came by and I thought I might "accidentally" click it! But, as no message came up, I assume I didn't. Why would it say I've caught some and give positive and negative karma from them when I never did it?
I checked the log, and as you suspect, you haven't caught any this time around. In fact, the log shows that the last floaty you caught was on April 02, 2005 at 03:19:43 am ET - one of the infamous Jeffsters:
