About 20 years ago, I picked up a book at the library, about this witchcraft mania.

This book was small, but heavy on 2-3 judges from both sides of the Atlantic.

Both Colonial & British agreed that it was way out of control. (Meaning that the 2-3 judges knew that alot of people being accused of witchcraft was not true.)

But, they did also throw (IIRC, only women), into water, "If you float, you're a witch. If you don't float, you're not a witch" (but, dead).).

I believe there was 1 case of stoning a man, guilty of witchcraft.
