Calendar Events / Announcements '04 I / New DS Casting Scenario
« on: April 09, 2004, 06:48:18 PM »
After putting down her NY Post, Diana Millay races frantically to the phone.

Yes, Diana Millay here.....what do you mean "Diana Millay?"???????.....DIANA MILLAY! Thespian/Author/Gourmet Chef/Witch/Phoenix.  THAT Diana MIllay.  THE Diana Millay......but, the reason for my call......I must have been out when you tried to contact me regarding a cameo on the new Dark Shadows.....but, really, I must refuse.  The only part I will consider is that of Laura....I AM Laura....and I  haven't aged a day since 1969.

So, c'mon, Dan, give her a call.  She's ready for her close-up, Mr. Curtis.

oh, and p.s. I heard that Roger Davis tried to get his house cast as Collinwood, but they couldn't afford all that square footage.

Gratuitous babbling ----->

Which episode?!  I can't believe I didn't notice it!

An early on one, during the Moriarity years.  It was the episode about the woman offering alternative treatments for breast cancer- they are trying to contact other patients, and rattle of names, turns out none could be reached, since all had died.  My name is in that list.

Writers, especially horror writers, tuckerize others to an alarming extent ("tuckerizing" being the practice of using a form of a real person's name, usually a friend, in a story).
That's Great Marcus!! But what do writers call it when they use the real name of a friend in their fictional stories? In Elizabeth Massie's book, 'A House Divided', one Mr. Robert Issel(Hey.....that's me!) ;) appears in text as a trail-blazer of sorts.  ;D

Gratuitous babbling ----->  A consultant on Law & Order was once Ass't DA here in my neck of the woods.  Friend of mine was the DA at the time.  Knows I love Law & Order and had my name tossed into a script.  Dead woman who was never depicted, only named, was named for me.

I swear the gal on
the far right always looked like she took some happy pills!

I think I heard somewhere once that James Storm had that happy pills look on his face at a Fest Banquet one year?

Love the elbow patches on the jacket.

Wonder if he'll kife that?  I'd like to see more of it.

I would have caught more of it, but I was on the phone.  Should have hung up on the spot when I got the report that there was a Dukes of Hazzaed table

(I don't know what it was but in every single one of my pictures of the Stars up on stage, Diana Milay appeared to be looking for something, as if she dropped something and couldn't find it)

Her mind, perhaps?

Calendar Events / Announcements '03 II / Re:Next Festival in Tarrytown????
« on: September 14, 2003, 10:57:06 PM »
Each time I have gone to Tarrytown by air I have flown into White Plains and had to lay over at Logan.  Driving would not be all that unreasonable for me, but the carpal's has put an end to long drives for me.

Ground transport from HPN to to Tarrytown is not unreasonable - last time for me it was 35 bucks.

The convenience is the thing - easy ground, small airport to manuever.  Car rental if you go that route (which I have done with a group of friends) is also a snap, and I will drive in Tarrytown, something I refuse to do in LA.  Bawkbawkbawkbawkbawk.  Yeah, I'm chicken.

With everyone aghast at the thought of Carolyn ending up with Ned Stuart, am I alone in my horror here?  Quentin with Maggie?  [82b5]

Happy Birthday, and don't even ask, because if I were able to get that for you I would keep it for myself anyway.
