Let the Right One In: Demián Bichir to Front Showtime's Vampire Drama Pilot

Both the 2004 and 2007(with Chloe Moretz) versions are quite good. It will be very interesting to see how the series turns out. The premise appears to be a sound one. And having Penny Dreadful's Andrew Hinderaker as its showrunner can't hurt...

And I think having Demian Bichir star certainly helps too! 

This actually looks quite intriguing, and i agree that both of the films were very good. The ending of the films' story left it wide open for it to be taken in any number of directions.

The only concern I have is that the central character is a 12-year-old vampire. That inherently limits the series to one--possibly two--seasons. But actually, I think that anyway I tend to prefer shorter series that have a beginning, middle, and end--or at least a series conclusion that is satisfying even if it doesn't END the story.
