Scroll Bar for Dialogue
« on: March 25, 2010, 06:33:03 AM »
On the forum's daily pictures from the movie or show, when there is too much dialogue to fit underneath, there is a little scroll bar to move down to the next line of dialogue.  For the last couple of weeks at least, it doesn't work for me.  I click on the arrow and try to scroll and nothing happens.

I have the same problem.  I just click inside the box and use the scroll on the mouse to read the rest.

I'm guessing you're using Firefox because that started happening after the last major upgrade. Like Cousin_Barnabas, I just started using my mouse's scroll wheel (though that's not a solution if you don't have a mouse with a wheel :(). However, the Linux version of Firefox issued a fix a couple days ago, so now the scroll bars work again. It doesn't seem like the Windows version has issued anything yet, but I would be very surprised if they don't do so very soon...

It's working fine both ways in Windows XP.

Perhaps IE 8 is better after all. Pros and cons to everything I guess.

If only for all the IE users' sakes. But if this was a problem in IE, it would take Microsoft months to fix it just like it takes them months to fix everything. ::)  Firefox fixed the problem in a few days in Linux. Not quite sure what's up with the Windows developers, though.

Yes, I'm using Firefox - hope you're right about a fix coming.  However, I just tried the suggested alternative and it works - thank you!

While I was using Windows today, Firefox installed some updates, and the scroll bars are working again. So, at some point they fixed the issue. But I have no idea when because this was the first time I'd used Firefox in Windows in ages...

All you need do is check out the Robservations slidehow because many of those captions have the scroll bar.  [ghost_wink]
