and i'm not sure how "impressed" i am with myself for starting such a debauched topic(and it's not without a certain amount of regret)but it just popped into my head and the imagery struck me as funny.
Maturbation is not depraved. Nor is it unrefined. Nor does it require a lack of innocence. As nearly any doctor will attest, it's a perfectly natural part of human life that quite often begins early in life. (And not just in humans but in every primate species on the planet.) And as such, discussing it - especially as it might relate to DS - is as pefectly normal a discussion as relating any other natural aspect of life to DS.
I could go on and on about sexuality and the skewed perception thereof in our society, but I won't because it is way OT (and more than a few members on the forum have already heard in person what I would most likely say again here). But I will say in closing that, mscbryk, you should have no regrets in having introduced the speculation of whether or not Adam relied on masturbation, if only to relieve a bit of the tedium spent alone in that West Wing room. You are not the first to wonder as much (though not everyone has had the flight of imagination to tie it into Carolyn's scarf
). And sexual humor is by no means frowned upon on this forum so long as it remains within the limits set down in Guidleline #10:
