With Denise Nickerson joining the storyline today, it reminded me of some memorable scenes from the children on DARK SHADOWS. One that comes to mind is Daniel in 1795 telling Ben Stokes about his plans to run far away from home. Which one is your favorite?

It's got to be Sarah.  If she liked you, she liked you for life.  If she didn't, she'd tell you about it.  

Barnabas on the other hand, that was her brother, and she loved him, no questions asked.  

Then something happen, she got sick, almost 200 years later, she come to see him, and they have a talk.

When Harry took so long in David's room, while he and Amy were explaining one of their weird games to him. Harry just caught Amy talking to the ghost of Quentin on an old disconnected telephone. David tells him it's a spirit phone, and that Quentin is buried out in Eagle Hill Cemetery.

I enjoyed any and all scenes Sarah was in, Sharon was a much more darling child then Amy ever was, and Amy was a dear child.

Actually, today's was a good one.  That's a wonderful first entrance.  The way she just stares! And her later outburst seems so realistic.

There is a scene with Nora and Lady Kitty.  I forget exactly what she says to her, but vividly recall the atmosphere between them and the way Nora "handles" her.

I've always liked little Sarah and my favorite scene was when she finally appears to Barnabas at the old house after she had appeared to just about everyone else on the show. This was such an emotional scene and to see Barnabas break down with tears in his eyes was really touching, I think even Julia thought so.

Love the scene with Amy telling Barnabas that's she's afraid of the moon.  That child could really act.  Always knew her lines and was totally convincing. Would love to see her in a DS III movie.

Speaking of which I read on another site that there might be another DS movie per Dan Curtis! He's going to be on-line on Sept. 18th(?) for a chat.  Could be a good question to put to him!

Didn't Grayson Hall once say of one of the DS child actors:  "Forty, if she's a day!"?  I'll bet that Ms. Hall was referring to the precocious and extremely talented Denise Nickerson.

Bob the Bartender, who also kind of enjoyed young Alexander and his pronounced "New Yawk" accent.

This is one of my favorites as well, in addition to Sarah's death scene in 1795. These two scenes say a lot more about the writing than they do about the acting. Both scenes were emotionally moving.

I have to agree with most of the other posts here.  I truely liked Sarah Collins.  There was something about her that made you really watch, even when I first watched DS.  He control over Barnbas has never been equalled.  The scene where he finally sees his beloved little sister, the pain of loss on his face.  This was Barnabas' one true love!
And I never listened to London Bridge the same way again.

Yes, I've seen that quote also...quite the compliment from GH.  I wholeheartedly agree...Denise Nickerson was a real pro even at that age, and a delight to watch.  She and Henesy played off eachother so naturally, it was easy to forget they were acting.
