"An Ahnswer, Nicholas, An Ahnswer!"

Hey gang,

You gotta love the way that actor Duane Morris (Diabolos) delivered his lines with great grandiloquence yesterday.  By the way, has anyone ever seen a picture of Mr. Morris without that mask and hood on?

Mr. Morris is another one of those one (or two) DS episode performers who have become legendary in time.  You know, sort of like the lovely and alluring Lovelady Powell (Portia Fitzsimmons) or my personal hero/avatar Mr. Bob O'Connell (the beloved Bob Rooney).  Wouldn't it be great if some of these actors could appear at some upcoming DS festival?  (Just think of the thrill of meeting Daniel Keyes, the Mr. Magoo-like Eagle Hill Cemetary Caretaker!)

In addition, I thought that Nicholas was, as usual, sartorially splendid with that color-coordinated gray umbrella he was sporting yesterday.

SPOILER

For another example of great grandiloquence on Dark Shadows, I direct you to actor Peter Lombard (Oberon) in the upcoming Leviathan story line.  I tell you, the guy sounds like a young and upcoming Al Gore!  (Of course, Oberon's associate, Hazar, is silent, but she's very easy on the eyes.)

You think he's still living? He was old back then.

Craig Slocum,

The Eagle Hill Cemetary Caretaker may be the oldest man in America!  I know this sounds morbid, but I have yet to see actor Daniel Keyes listed in the In Memorian section of any of KLS' Dark Shadows books (and I always check them, believe me!).  So, hopefully Mr. Keyes is still with us.

Jennifer,

"Icky Vicky," I love it!!!  Nevertheless, I think that it was a losing battle for any other actress to take over Alexandra Motke's role of Vicky Winters.  (Maybe if they gotten either Jacqueline Bissett or Katherine Ross to play the part, things might have worked out.)

Annie,

You have GOT to come to one of the DS festivals to meet your main man!  I found him to be a heck of a nice guy, the true Southern gentleman at the fest that I saw him at.

He did live a long life, his birthday was also the same as my dad's, March 6th. I wonder what town in Maine, Daniel Keyes died in. I was born in Kittery.

Hey gang,

This is truly strange. There must be a full moon out or something.  I know that March 6 is the birthday of Ed McMahon, Shaquilel O'Neal, (it's also the day that the Alamo fell to Gen. Santa Anna in 1836).

Now, I know that Craig Slocum's dad and the late Daniel Keyes were born on that same day.  March 6 also happens to be the birthday of, yours truly, Bob the Bartender (but, I won't tell you what year it was!)

Bob the Bartender, who will now tune into the "Twilight Zone" or perhaps "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction?" on the Sci-Fi channel.  Beam me up, Scotty!!!

Really? What a trip! I would like to visit Maine again someday, haven't been there in 38 years. My family moved to California soon after I was born, so I don't remember anything, only what I've seen in pictures.
