Gee, what a shock.  ::)  (sorry IE users):

Microsoft goes public with what it expects to deliver in its IE 7 browser. The compatibility stance draws the ire of some developers. Check out the details here.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't put theory #2 past Microsoft - not by a long shot. They've admitted as much in far too many other situations.  >:(  And I definitely agree with Sean Carton's sentiment: "Wake up, Microsoft" - fast!!
