I was going to post a photo, but couldn't figure out how to do it, when I previewed the post it was not showing.

CS, if you were trying to attach it, just type whatever description you want in the response window as usual, use the browse button below it to steer to the file location in your stored files, then post it.  You can only attach one image per post, and do not preview it.  The image has to be less than 100 KB, and it must be saved as a txt, jpg, gif, pdf, mpg or png.  Keep in mind that how the image looks at 100% in your image program is how it's going to appear in your post.

If you were instead trying to create an image link, surround the url of the image with these tags:
Code: [Select]
[img]URL[/img]
Hope that helped.

Sorry, I was going to post it yesterday but I was in a rush

There's no reason at all to apologize - I'm sure we all understand.  [winkg]

According to the SOAPnet episode summaries, Nancy Barrett's first episode is #265 (originally aired July 13, 1976). Today, episodes #257/258 aired, which means Nancy Barrett's first appearance will be airing on SOAPnet on Monday, October 27th.

Her second appearance was in #282, which should be airing sometime next month.

Nancy's first appearance on Ryan's Hope aired today. She was great. She appeared in two scenes, one with Nancy Addison (Jillian Coleridge), the other with Malcolm Groome (Pat Ryan).

Below are some screen captures. They're not that great because SOAPnet's reception has been messing up for me since last week, which is why the images aren't very large.

Thanks, Vicki, for the Nancy Barrett photos from Ryan's Hope, and for the very cool article links.  I really enjoyed reading the latter.

I'm glad that Nancy was ultimately brought back on OLTL, since it seems that she really enjoyed the experience of working on that show.  I thought it was a scream when she mentioned "Carolyn Stoddard" amongst the old friends she found working there.  I guess that reference went right over the earnest interviewer's head!

Thanks for posting the captures and the report, VWR!  I don't get SoapNet and really appreciated your effort.

A friend sent along some Ryan's Hope/DS crossover trivia:

  • Nancy Barrett, who played a character on DS named Charity, played a character named Faith on Ryan's Hope.  (Clever, yes? ;))

  • DS personnel appearing in the credits for Ryan's Hope:  In addition to the names VictoriaWintersRox mentioned in another topic-- Robert Costello, Lela Swift, Sybil Weinberger, and Sy Thomashoff-- were Ramse Mostoller and Tom McCue.
  • Also appearing on Ryan's Hope in 1976 were Dorrie Kavanaugh and [movie actress] Gale Sondergaard (who at one time visited the DS studio).

Bullet tags have always been in the YABBC listing.  I never used them before either, but the codes are pretty self-explanatory.  It's the last box in the top row.

Until now I think MsCriseyde and I have been the only ones who've used them. I love them because they're very useful when you want to emphasize a list of items/explanations/etc.  [smlyg]

Do any Soapnet watchers think it's strange that Faith Catlin, the first Faith on RH, is still seen in the opening collage even though Nancy has now taken over the role?

I think my brain now works in bulleted lists. I never really used them much until I got roped into teaching business writing. For that, you use them all the time. Now I think it borders on the impossible for me to generate a document that doesn't have a bulleted list in it somewhere. When you force someone's reading to rely more on vertical positioning, the person tends to remember and distinguish between your points more clearly.

Since I have no point here, I didn't use bullets.  ;D
