This episode begins with Don Briscoe in the most uncomfortable sitting position ever, apparently, on the hearth, with hunched shoiulders.  The pentagram -- sorry, the "sign of the pentagram" -- appears on Carolyn's forehead, which apparently means:  she'll be a victim unless you do something to stop it.  The sign is not infallible.  I wonder if Amy and David ever actually learn anything in their lessons while possessed.  Schoolwork can be hard, and they're ... distracted.  Not possessed, but sort of.

David tells Amy that Quentin seems pleased about Chris and Carolyn, but not out of the goodness of his heart.

Carolyn is wearing her pretty green sweater and skirt, with a large silver cuff bracelet.

Amy doesn't want to do anything to hurt Carolyn. David threatens to tell Quentin that Amy doesn't want to play the game. Amy protests, but David is unmoved. Maybe I _will_ tell him, David says with casual cruelty. Then Quentin and I can play the game--with _you_. No, Amy pleads. Why are you being so mean to me? I don't want you to be afraid, David. It's only a game. Sometimes it's so dangerous, Amy protests. What's dangerous? David asks. It only scares people, it doesn’t hurt them. How quickly he’s forgotten Madam Findley!

The game goes horribly wrong when Maggie and not Carolyn goes to the cottage to get Chris.
