And a candid of Thayer David in nearly full (he's missing the gloves and hat) Strack regalia that -
(Click here for a 678X700 version)
- may have been taken on the day Strack's trampling was shot or Angelique's hanging. I'm not sure which, so I held off sharing it until now. As far as I know, it's never been officially published anywhere...
Liz's fear of premature burial persists as she talks to Barnabas. He tells her it's in her mind, which only supports her argument that there's something wrong with her. Suddenly her thoughts turn to David and Amy.She insists that they'll need a governess to replace Vicki immediately, in fact, tonight. She suggests that Maggie would be a good choice. (a waitress as a teacher? Only on the Collinwood universe!) Barnabas agrees to call her.
And even though these have nothing to do with the cemetery set and were taken outside Lyndhurst, I've often wonder if these three stills were taken on the same day as the Lobby Card:

A somewhat longer version of the top still was shared on page 190 of the Return To Collinwood book. I'm pretty sure I've never seen the other two officially published anywhere...
When it comes to the stills I sort of associated with Scene 146 because they were taken in and around the cemetery set, after I came across the stills posted to AOL back in the '90s, I discovered a much better version of the one of Grayson Hall. Today I updated that post with the better version:...
For a change it's not Nancy Barrett posing around a set/location that Claire didn't appear in, it's Grayson Hall posing at the cemetery set, where Carlotta never appeared, -
- and wearing one of two dresses she appears in stills wearing but she never wore as Carlotta in the film (but more on that at a later time). A somewhat cropped version of this still appears on page 172 of DS Memories.
...
And I also came across this one -
- which I'm sharing for the first time. And when it comes to it, I'm not aware of it having been officially published anywhere...

Four more stills, not directly related to Scene 146, but featuring Angelique at the cemetery:
And so far as I'm aware, none of these have been officially published anywhere...
INT. GREAT HALL - COLLINWOOD - NIGHT He enters, transfixed, STARING toward the wall over the great fireplace. There, a magnificent portrait of BARNABAS COLLINS, the name etched on a gold nameplate dated 1788, hangs half- lit by the flickering firelight. ELIZABETH (0.S.) I don't believe it. VAMPIRE My apologies for the hour, but I couldn't resist any longer. The Vampire turns as Roger and Elizabeth comes down the stairs, gaping at their visitor. He is, in fact, a DEAD RINGER for the man in the portrait. BARNABAS (taking Elizabeth's hand) I'm Barnabas Collins. ELIZABETH Barnabas? You even have his name? BARNABAS A tragic lack of imagination on the part of my parents. (kissing her hand) You must be my cousin Elizabeth. While Elizabeth is taken with Barnabas, Roger is suspicious. BARNABAS (CONT'D) (to Roger) And you... are staring. |
Dark Shadows - M. Verheiden - 1/19/04 33. ROGER Roger Collins. You're in from...? BARNABAS England. I tried to get a message through, but I understand there's been a family emergency. ELIZABETH - My daughter, Carolyn. She was... injured. Bitten by some sort of animal. Barnabas tightens with surprise and regret. He had no idea Carolyn was a member of the Collins family. |
And finally when it comes to Scenes 145 & 146 this time around, I forgot to post this last time around, and I almost forgot to post it this time around too:

It would have been nice if 16 Magazine hadn't doctored the photo like they did. But considering the NoDS article that appeared in their December of 1971 issue is the only place I've ever see the still shared, having a doctored version is better than not having any version at all. (And the really nice thing about that article is that it features several stills that were never shared anywhere else.)

Until I was going through a pile of stills looking for ones to post for upcoming scenes, I'd completely forgotten that I have the still of the Angelique/Charles Lobby Card. And like the still I shared of Carlotta/Gerard in Reply #294, the still is much better quality than the Lobby Card -
(Click here for a 700X476 version)
- or at least much better quality than the Heritage Auctions Web site's scan I've shared of the Lobby Card - plus it shows a bit more...
And as a side note, notice how you can barely tell Charles is supposed to have a scar on his cheek. Apparently they went much more pronounced with the make-up once they shot his scenes...
And, let’s not forget Sarah Johnson, ... I suspect that she would occasionally splurge and buy some rather stylish and decidedly provocative ladies’ undergarments at the local Victoria’s Secret to wear under those staid and matronly black dresses of hers.
