OT: Angel Receives Saturn Awards
« on: May 08, 2004, 06:36:18 AM »
Hi all!  Angel has won four Saturn awards as follows:

David Boreanaz for Best Actor in TV Series
James Marsters for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series
Amy Acker for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series
and
Best Network Series tied with CSI:Crime Scene Investigation

Now, my sadness is even more that this show has been cancelled.

On a positive note:

Don't forget to watch Angel this week on May 12 when the new DS Pilot Barnabas, Alec Newman, reprises his role as Drogyn.  The character of Drogyn first appeared in Episode 5.15 (A Hole in the World).  He was the knight in the Deeper Well that could not lie.

Angel has won four Saturn awards

Yes, we were hoping that the wins might put the overly caffeinated Angel fans in a better mood long enough to stop blaiming DS for the show's cancellation.  [wink2]

I'm afraid the hate sites are already going up I'm afraid.  One site's mission statement was to boycott the Dark Shadows, WB and support alumni of the show(s) in that order.    But, I did slightly delight at informing them that three almuni were going to be in the new DS, should that be picked-up.  Plus, the fact they could be boycotting a show that is non-existent in the WB's fall line-up.  Wouldn't that kick them in the pants?  Would kick me too but in a different way.

I need some of Julia's sedatives and quick!  Do you think she has some good anti-I'm having no vampire shows on TV for God knows how longdepresants in that black bag of hers in case?

*sigh

Just curious--what is a Saturn award?

I've never heard of it before.

I am afraid that, in any case, I do not take awards and award shows very seriously.  There seems to be a high school varsity element in all of them...
