And now for something completely different...
« on: August 16, 2004, 10:29:32 AM »

Can you ever get enough grainy Fest photos that are shot from too far away?  I know I can't.

Let's see....here we have the woman who reportedly has no memory of Dark Shadows, (lol - I like that) then we have Ms. Angelique (ya know, it looks like that could have been a really good picture of her if I'd been anywhere near the stage), then we also have a guy on the left drinking Vasa Water (compliments of the Marriott).  Great photo, huh?  Yes - pretty bad if I do say so myself.   ::)

You always learn something new at a Fest.  When Lara was talking about what a great experience it was filming NODS and how she even got to be hung, some people started laughing.  John immediately picked up on the thread by indicating that he was not well-hung.  David said he wasn't even gonna go there.  But....if the next photo has any relevance, maybe he felt he didn't really need to.  (shrug)

I'm no good at writing event accounts - that's better left to the pros like ProfStokes (Hi Amanda).  ;D  But I suppose everyone comes away from a Fest with some sort of thoughts or impressions (yes, even me) and I feel we DEFINITELY need to know more about David's big toe and that errant horse.  John told him to take his shoe off, but he wouldn't.

Sorry, sorry....I'll try to post a couple of decent pictures of SOMEBODY in the next couple of days if anyone's interested....and if I can come up with any.  lol

No need to apologize on my account - I appreciate any and all shots posted.  And, it looks like you were closer than I was anyway, so I'm seeing, ahem, comic detail I may never have noticed otherwise.

LOL!!!! That last photo & caption was too much!

Darn Connie, I missed meeting you again this year!!!  A friend of mine, Rosella, said she met you yesterday.(Sunday)  That must have been the same time I took a drive home to pick up my banquet dress for the evening.
Oh well, maybe next year then.
Hope you had a great time!

Yeah!  I was rather disappointed when Rosella said you had gone home 'cause I had to leave and she didn't know when you were going to be back.  Plus, I KNOW I would have recognized you this year.  As it was, I didn't meet too many people.  But I DID meet Gothick and had the privilege of spending some time with him.  This was pretty much the high point of the Fest for me.  Actually I got a nice picture of him.  If he says "okay", I'll post it.

ANYWAY, as promised.....a picture from Sunday that's NOT too far away and NOT grainy!  (I don't think this gentleman needs any sort of introduction)

It doesn't show in the photo, but his heart and mind are saying, "Connie my love, come closer..."

(Uh...yeah, okay.  Tell us another!)  LOL   ::)

Janet
I get a kick out of these guys who think they're so clean, when all the time they're trying to cover up their dirt.

HI Connie, what a nice way of answering my question whether you managed to meet David on Sunday!  I'm just thrilled, and very happy for you.  Those eyes still have that "razzle-dazzle" (to borrow a leaf from Nancy Barrett's cabaret show).

The photo you snapped of me is such a sweet portrait, and I look about a million times better in it than I do in what is absurdly termed "real life."  I'd be honored to have you post it here.

hugs, Steve

What an excellent photo Connie! I completely agree with Gothick about his eyes - major razzle dazzle!!!  :-*

It was a pleasure meeting you too!
Only it's frustrating not having the opportunity to sit, talk, maybe connect in some way, have a laugh or two.  At the Fests with people coming, going, busy with other stuff, you meet them, but barely, you know?

Anyway, MORE PICTURES.  Here's a picture of me with JT Selby.  My son took this one.

Ya know, he's awfully nice.  (Like father, like son)
