Dark Shadows Tattoos
« on: March 22, 2005, 04:14:46 PM »
A couple of years ago a friend of mine told me she saw a really great Barnabas tat in a tattoo magazine.  I never had the chance to see it.  Does anyone have any pics or scans of this?

For that matter, does anyone here have any DS related tattoos?

I've considered getting one (actually a cool piece I had in mind featured Barnabas, Angelique and Quentin and was based off the late Warren Oddsson's great artwork).  I never did it though because part of me feels kind of weird having an actor's likeness tattooed on me!   :-   I do have some ink, but it's cartoon-type stuff (I have a Jack Skellington one for example), but a tat of an actual person ... I dunno yet.

Anywho, I'd be curious to see any DS-related tats if anyone wants to share pics!

Ohhhhhh yeah.  Mm hmm.
I've got a tattoo of Quentin on my butt.   ;)
(It's always a good idea to have a tattoo someplace where there's lots of room)

at the brooklyn fest two years ago i met a very cool dyke who was covered in d.s. tatoos.i remember specifically a large one of barnabas biting maggie/josette with drops of blood and everything.i don't remember her name but i think that there were photos of her somewhere online.

i dunno if that helps :P.

I know a lady at work who once told me that she wanted a tatoo of Barnabas putting the bite on her,...uh..bosom area.  She's a great gal and lots of fun to talk with.  She's on her fifth husband right now.  He does Elvis impersonations.

:o  LOL! That's pretty darn funny.

My idea was to have an eerie piece done of the heads of a fanged Barnabas, Angelique casting a spell, and Quentin staring - all surrounded by mist and dead tree branches.  I would use the Warren Oddsson artwork from the DS Concordances as a basis.  I already have three tattoos (non-DS), but this would be a bigger one and would probably be on my right shoulder blade.  I haven't decided yet.  I act in local theatre productions so I don't want to overdo it since tatoos can be a pain to cover up and the more you have, the harder it gets to hide them.  Still, I've been wanting to get a DS montage done for awhile now.  I have to think about it some more.  My husband is totally cool with the idea, but I'm going to wait on it awhile.
