Internet Explorer: Spoofing the Address Bar
« on: April 15, 2006, 05:14:58 AM »
IE users, you should definitely check this out to take Secunia's test to see if your copy of IE is vulnerable:

Do you have any idea what Web site you are browsing? Not anymore. A new bug was found in IE 6.0 that allows a Web site to display a URL in your address bar that is different than the URL of the site that's displayed on your browser. That means your address bar could say "Amazon.com" but you're really on some hacker's Web site on the other side of the world. Eww... that's scary. It's no surprise that another major security flaw has been discovered in Internet Explorer, so please find out if you are at risk: New Phishing Hook Found in Internet Explorer
