I just received a used copy of DVD Collection 1 (not The Beginning). It's in a significantly bigger case than the rest of my DVD collections, and despite the fact that the seller claimed that all case inserts were included, there is no "card" - should there be a bigger case with no card?
-
Call MPI via its toll-free number- I'm sure they'll ship you a free copy.
-
Thanks, but I doubt it, as I didn't buy it from them - I bought it from a third-party seller on Amazon Marketplace.
-
They may still send you one. You can always ask to buy one from them.
As for the box the first ones are bigger, I think there are about 4 different styles of boxes but I'm not sure without looking.

Thanks, Borgosi, especially about the box information (I was worried it was a bootleg because of the larger box size) but even if it isn't perfect, I'm not returning it, as I got a pretty good deal on it, as well.
But there should have been a card included, shouldn't there? >_> So much for "all inserts included." Still got $10 off Amazon's price.

One of mine was missing a card and I had bought it at Best Buy. I called MPI and told them that I had bought set X and that it didn't have the card. I asked them if I could buy a replacement card. They ask for my address and sent a new card at no cost. So give it a shot, the worst thing they can tell you is no.
-
Okay, thanks! I may try that tomorrow.
-
Goober, the first 10 sets came in those bigger boxes, but they've since been re-released in the slimmer boxes. MPI will sell you the slimmer boxes for something like $4.95 apiece if you want your collection to look uniform.
-
So I guess one could say that the original boxes are collectables.

Thanks, retzev, but seeing as how we (my mother and I) probably won't be able to afford to buy the whole series, at least not for a while, box uniformity isn't a big concern.
