Robert Finocchio, long time fan, passes away

I am sad to report that Robert Finocchio, who was a long time DS fan, passed away on February 4th after a brief illness. Robert was a first generation fan, from the ABC days. He was vice president of several fan clubs for David Henesy, Clarice Blackburn and Grayson Hall. He was also the president of Diana Millay's fan club for many years. He attended many conventions, going back to the early days of Shadowcon. And he produced what may have been the very first fan video entitled Dark Vengeance. Until more recent fan videos, Dark Vengeance was a serious horror video.
I didn't know Robert very well. We were just casual acquaintances. But this is a sad loss for his family and friends. And DS fandom as well.

I met and talked with him for a while at the '89 Fest, though, if my memory serves me right, never since then. But he was a very pleasant man. I would agree that his passing is a loss to fandom.
