Title: Missing Grayson
Post by: Gothick on August 07, 2008, 03:36:51 PM
Dear Fans,

Today, August 7, is the 23rd anniversary of Grayson Hall's passing.  If you think of her at some point during the day, lift your glass and wish her spirit honorable repose!

"They speak of the divine discontent of the artist ... well, let me tell you, darling ... it's not so divine ..."

Here's to one gutsy broad (as I think Bob Costello once described her)!

Interesting that things should work out with a truly classic Dr. Hoffman quote featured in the slideshow to commemorate the day:

1967: Ep #291 - Dr. Hoffman: 'I've been waiting for you for a
long time.'

When I saw Night of the Iguana, I was mesmerized. Grayson Hall has always had a place in my heart as Dr. Hoffman, but what a treat to see her in another venue. She was a brilliant actress. The best to you, Madam. Here's lookin' at you, kid. ::toast::

Thanks  [ghost_wink]. I like to change up my avatars and I wanted to honor GRAYSON with this beautiful shot of Natalie.

Also a salute to David Ford.  Grayson was a great lady.

I do wish I could see old films of hers.    I've tried to catch up on the films made when I was a kid and before, but I think the cool clearance VHS that suddenly I could afford has dried up.    I have "Gargoyles" now, thanks to someone who isn't even a DS fan, but that's hardly from her glory days.... I do get the feeling that she could do a lot more than what she did on DS.

Cheers all! I am saluting her with a bottle of fine wine by the beach (she loved the beach though she was fair and burnt easily like myself).

Ow!!!   I'm a naughty boy, I'm on a shockingly low fixed Disability income (scary cello music kicks in) and have never had cable, and never will, at this rate!    Too bad, since broadcast TV seems to be for the Jerry Springer audience now....  I have my tapes, though!   Thanks, how unwicked of you, Janet!  Info on way....

More discipline please.....
