The writers of the The Nanny's theme stole their idea for the lyrics from DS! Who knew?  

Another Joe Caldwell script and yet another terrified woman-- Buffie-- is screaming.  I believe that's 5 in a row.

Soaps back then were all about women in peril. And apparently the audiences liked seeing their heroines in peril because the ratings for most soaps were quite respectable. So, apparently Joe et al. were giving the audiences what they wanted.  

If you mean George Strus as Steve, I do think he was a stuntman too.

He was definitely a stunt man. His biggest claim to fame may be that after DS he went on to appear in Shaft.
