Okay, Midnite - your post is set now at 399; just one away from 400.  But ya make it legit - no fluffing!  And then we'll pop the champagne corks!

Champagne???!!!  Ya know, Gerard, you seem to have a knack for choosing the perfect alcoholic beverage to entice your fellow posters, hee hee!!  I didn't blink when you were bribing, er, offering Skyy blue martinis to Mark (that is, until you talked about making them very dry...), yet I LOVE champagne.  But since it's 9:30 a.m. here could we make it mimosas? :D

BTW, one of our cousins is close to senior status.  I'm not naming names, but I think that'll definitely be a champagne-worthy event!

DSWayne, you're very welcome!  I think you're a sweetheart and can't imagine you hurting anyone's feelings.

We were tickled to have Brian on board (pardon the pun) as our archivist.  And Luciaphil and Robin, since they have their own boards, also have special titles (Collinsport Commentator and Robservationist).  There will very likely be other positions available in the near future, so if you see something you're interested in, please don't hesitate to email our Webmaster extraordinaire.  MB and I welcome any and all help offered cuz while I hate to use the word "desperate", well, if the shoe fits...  ;)

And ideas/suggestions/comments are also always welcome!

Yes, and if you're reading the board while not logged in, it would include you too.

Umm - you wouldn't really want to start doing something that might tick the Webmaster off, would you? [wink2]

Take it from one who knows, Gerard....ticking off the Webmaster can result in unusual forms of punishment....some so subtle you might not notice for weeks.  It's best to behave yourself.

MB, you're naughty!  No champagne for you!  Well, a little.

A little would be fine. Unlike the majority of the Collinses, I don't drink that much (compared to them, who does? [lghy]) - but I'll certainly make an exception to toast Midnite's 400th! ;D

Whotta guy!  I bet you can open a bottle of champagne as smoothly as Roger Collins can uncork a bottle of fine wine.

The trick is, Midnite, to get the effect of the cork popping outta the bottle without half the bottle's contents following along behind it!  There is a way to do it, involving twisting first in one direction, and then the other, and using a properly placed towel.  Voila!

By the way, if you ever go on a cruise and suffer mal de mar, drinking champagne that has been open for one day and kept at room temperature will settle your stomach right down.  I learned that from a steward whilst crossing the Atlantic on the QE2.

Hmmm - I wonder if Magellan knew that? With a diet of rats and old leather, I bet there was quite a bit of sea sickness while his ships crossed the Pacific...

But I digress. [naughty]

So much for my DVD problems.   ::)

But this last page of posts was more fun, anyway!
