agree i think she was a great dancer, went to DS
acting wasn't her thing, and she went back to the stage
if they had her do a Pansy Faye thing well maybe i'd understand why Quentin  was fascinated by her more!
Amanda is just so annoying i always thought Quentin was under the effects of that spell that made her

Definetely Betsy Durkin!! I sometimes wonder if Dan Curtis picked her out of spite just to get back at A.M. for wanting to leave the show. She definetely does not fit the part at all!  Perhaps if she was cast as someone else she might not have been that bad, but as Vicky she just doesn't cut it.

As for Amanda Harris- the part that bothered me so much was the fact that Quentin choose her to be his one true love!  If anyone deserved that title IMHO it should have been Beth! The two of them had been through so much together and also had a past that they both shared.  The only thing that Amanda Harris had in common with Quentin was that they both couldn't age because of their portraits.

    I guess I view BD with more sympathy because she was trying to fill someone else's shoes.  I did not like her as a replacement but as an actress maybe she just needed more experience.  On the other hand, I find Amanda as annoying as Hallie.  Were the characters Hallie and Amanda written to be irritating or was it just the actors portrayal that added that misfortunate aspect?
