Ian, I've seen your posts from way-back-when.  Welcome back!

Lydia, you were but a wee new member when I left. I seem to remember that you frequently posted in the Caption This boards.

Hello again everyone! I think the last time I stepped foot in here was maybe back in 2005? XDDD

Well, I'm back. Hello to all who remember me and any new faces who've popped in since I've been gone (and I'm sure there've been plenty).

Since Laura likes to have children with her children and grandchildren, I like to speculate that if a Collins doesn't have a mother mentioned, Laura is their mother. ;)

Well, I never saw any characters like Quentin or Samantha. It sounds intriguing at least.

I was looking at upcoming movies the other day, and I came across what looks like...well...a somewhat yet not-very-interesting movie featuring a character named Joanna Mills. It's called "The Return."

Here is a Wikipedia page giving the basic story:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Return_%282006_film%29

Completely unrelated from DS, but I figured it was a somewhat interesting find with a character named Joanna Mills in a horror movie. ;)

Thanks muchly, everyone.

With all of the invitations to things tonight from all of my friends in college, I'm starting to hate the fact that my birthday is in the middle of the week and I have a paper due tomorrow morning. XD

I'm not a Vicky fan so I'd forgotten there were two.

There was also Carolyn Groves for three episodes as well. ;)

Thanks so much for the pictures, Joeytrom!

I definitely thought that she seemed to be way more "star-crossed" with Burke than Peter/Jeff. I never thought that Alexandra and Roger had that much chemistry on screen. Maybe it's just me. o_O

And to make it even more visual, pretend I wanted to link to the main page of these forums:

I find that the red compliments my Quentin set rather well. :)

Oh, this will be my first time seeing this.

I'll either have to make sure that TCM is among the channels in the cable package I'm ordering for my new apartment, or I'll have to make sure I make a trip home that weekend. XD

Current Talk '06 II / Re: Time travel conundrums

Hello, all. I disappeared, but I've returned. ;)

Anyways, I tend to take the thought that when something in the past is changed, not only that thing in the original "traveler's" time, but in every time up until then. I think the closest thing to that (that has been discussed before) would be
when Gabriel killed Edith in 1840. Now, to be honest, I've never seen the 1840 episodes, only read about them, sadly. I don't know, did Edith mention having children already? If not, that creates even more of a conundrum. How did she become the great "grandmama" that everyone "revered" in 1897?
See? If you try to think about problems with continuity (or about time travel in general), you'll get a major headache. XD

In the Dracula movie, Dracula had to give some of his blood to the victim if he wanted them to become a vampire.

I think you're mistaken. In the Stoker version, all Dracula had to do was drain their blood, though in Anne Rice's "Interview with a Vampire," Lestat had to give his victims some of his blood to make them vampires. My heart weeps for poor Claudia. :(

Did Passions take pages from DS?  I read that right now there's a mermaid running around and it just appears to have the same tone as DS.  Tell me this isn't a coincidence.

It didn't directly take anything from DS, but it is sometimes supernatural in the same sense. Although when Timmy used to be on the show, they played the DS theme during certain Tabitha/Timmy scenes. Other than that, it's just other (albeit different) supernatural related things i.e. pathways into hell (through an upstairs closet ;)), witches, demons, etc.
