The reason, as you may have noticed when you copied her code, is that arashi used the glow feature:

[glow=250,254,255][/glow]which in Internet Explorer will add colorful highlights to text. In other browsers, unfortunately, Glow does not work the way it's intended, and therefore Firefox users cannot see the greeting in both your posts unless they're highlighted using the mouse cursor. Which is probably why you were surprised to see the effect, Magnus-- it's just not used much because non-IE users don't get any benefit from it.

And it just hit me why you couldn't see the differences in the hexagram diagram in the other topic. You have your accessiblity features set to override website colors. Duh, Midnite!

Thanks, all, for the birthday wishes. I tend to downplay such days now that I'm into my second half-century....but it's nice to hear the good wishes, just the same.

Hey, MB, so then I'm only 32, right? Which means I wasn't around to watch the first DS airings on ABC, I guess....LOL--I'd rather be 52 and know that I am one of the pioneer fans who "ran home from school" (well, actually, I rode a school-bus) to watch our favorite show "way back when." I think many of us "mature" fans will admit that DS, in its first showing, had a significat and permanent impact of our lives that has carried through to our adult lives. Right?
