The Balboa, a San Francisco neighborhood movie theatre that opened in 1937, found a second life showing art films and revivals.
Though now a twin, the theatre's original lobby and marquee are completely untouched and as they were in '37.
Starting Jun 2, the Balboa will screen newly struck prints of many Boris Karloff films, some not on VHS or DVD.
Karloff's daughter Sara will appear opening night and at select screenings for the duration of the 2 week festival.
