Disney can't own or control Depp, so it makes sure its many other "companies" don't promote anything about him unless it's in Disney's self-interest.  Even though ABC originally aired DS, look for ABC-Disney to do the same thing next spring.  It's not a Disney movie, it's a Warner Bros movie, so why should Disney allow promotion of it?  (Maybe it's a stretch for me to speculate on that...but we'll know for sure in the Spring.)

Tanner Hall?  Um, Collinwood!  HOW COOL is that!  I don't go to movies much anymore (prefer DVD at home) but I might have to see this one for what looks like a grand tour of Carey Mansion.  ;)

Well, I'm only 15 minutes into the DVR of the show, and (get ready to throw all your rocks at me), I am not convinced of anything like ghosts or spirits in the house (or of the "ghost hunters" abilities to find any such thing.) I'm sure it is a great money-maker for SyFy, and with this particualr show, for Ms. Carey---to help her and her fiance to restore the mansion (and I don't begrudge her efforts to that end!)  But ghosts?  I don't think so (although the Ghost Hunters are very good actors).

My atheistic opinion...LOL.

I have a few "friends" on Facebook that I have never met, but with whom I share certain "passions" (e.g., "Dark Shadows"), and there are also friends with different political backgrounds.  I try to be respectful of those friends (that I know in real life) who are fans of Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, etc.  But if anyone were to post anti-gay comments, I would unfriend them immediately  (since I am gay and very liberal and oppose bigotry).  BTW, David, I am proud to count you as a Facebook friend!  Brian

Thanks, David.  it would be great if some of Grayson's episodes are finally aired...or even Nancy's or Anthony's.

I could see the budget cuts in the show's production: they clearly can't afford to buy shirts for the guys!

David, that is the best...makes me LOL!!

"Woman in the Window" and "Scarlet Street" are her classics!  But some early 30s' movies, like"Mississippi" are also notable.  And I just bought "Woman on the Beach" from Warner Archives..I'll let y'all know what I think.

Just curious - maybe this has already been addressed: does anyone know if Chip Selby, who produced the doc "Tales from the Crypt: From Comic Books to Television" is the same Chip Selby who is David Selby's wife?

I think Donna's character was created late in the 1987 story to set up the 1970 story, with the CDT / Quentin (aka Grant) story.  That's how soaps work..now and then...more than 30 years ago.

OLTL HAS risen in ratings.  But the evil FRONS-monster has made his decision, I think.  Starting in January, I will have no reason to watch ABC daytime.  Period!  Thank goodness, I have the DS DVD collections to fill that void!  :)

Does anyone know why there was never a Volume 2 of the 1897 Concordance?

I've always wonder this, too. Kathy? (with love and respect, of course)?

Well, I did buy the first volume...and I had ordered volume 2 last year but cancelled due to delays.  Anyway, I still have some of the original comic books from my youth.  Whether dreck or not, when one if 12 or 13. . .'nuf said.

I can only add that Keith, whom I knew back in the early 1980s when he returned to Dayton, Ohio, was very proud of his work in BITB.  Keith was not happy that some of his work was cut from "Cruising," but he wasn't bitter.  He also was proud of his work on DS.  Though I haven't been part of it since 1985, I know that the Dayton theater community remembers Keith with pride and affection.
