Calendar Events / Announcements '05 II / "Rebecca" stuff
« on: November 22, 2005, 12:51:47 PM »
Last night, TCM showed "Rebecca". For some of the newer cousins on here, the 1970PT story arc features some 'Rebecca-esque?' story.

Two things; having always been in love/lust with Laurence Olivier (hubba hubba), I never noticed until last night that Max deWinter was supposed to be about 45ish to Joan Fontaine's 25ish. That aspect on PT was never played out; I believe that would've been interesting and lead to a better feel for Maggie/Quentin. I think DS would have played 45ish very well.

Also, and I can't believe this, but Robert Osborn mentioned last night that we never learn the '2nd Mrs. deWinter's' first name! I never noticed this! If anyone has read the novel, and it is mentioned, would you post it here? (Hey, maybe it was Margaret!!)

1956 is a little early for our gal. .she didn't use "Grayson Hall" as a name until 1960.

What did she use Julia99?

I was going to post this.

Okay, this is the FIRST Joan Bennett lead actress movie I've ever seen :o There's a scene early in picture where beautiful Joan is wearing a dress which is periwinkle with a hue of gray. OMG, stunning!! It was odd seeing her as a blonde; I prefer her as a brunette. 'For pictures made in 1937' she was great (I believe direction and scripts were much more subdued/2 dimensional back then).

It was so nice seeing our Joannie!!

Was surfing, and I saw this article.

I don't know if *perhaps it would be better in CE&A, with the AOL/buy TVshows.

Patti,

Now that you know about them, why not bring up the summaries to see what the buttons do?

...Poor Patti...she was so perplexed about what Midnite said, she had to take 3 little pills. She still doesn't know what Midnite meant....poor Patti...

Great subject and caps!!

Funny, I believe 2 other Buffy alums are on different networks at competing times (though not against Bones).

I've seen a couple of minutes of Bones, because I watch House right after it.

It's not 'T H E' cane, is it?

I know we've talked in general, but a day I think is fast approaching when it won't be so much the 4 networks. Obviously, they'll still exist, but with everyone's busy schedule, who wouldn't rather just pre-decide what they'd like to see.

IMHO,

Patti

PS...I've said it before too, would still be some new shows...I don't think I phrased myself very clear... :P

Okay...I'll go to a different number.

What you're saying Midnite  :-* is if I was reading ep 712/713, then wanted to read 714/715, I should just click 'next'...right?

Thanks!

Next time MB has some 'spare' time, could he please somehow? make Robservations easier to manuever around....

If I'm reading eps 361/362, then want to continue, it's nearly impossible to 'find' ep 363....I'll try different pages, etc.

I just tried in the Robservations 'find' key putting in ep 363, which just gave me the ep highlighted.

Thanks,

Patti

See...since some people are too cool & find info, I went surfing. Instead of Google, I used Yahoo! DIG on the year Katie was purportedly born!

So I went further, and here's VH1's 'info'

Roger Davis was married to Jacyln Smith  :o  :o

That's sort of a double connection, Kate Jackson/Jacyln Smith...

Thanks for the extremely cool link!
