Coincidence or not that’s still really interesting.
I’ve really only ever read the most famous two of Poe’s stories.
I didn’t know he or Twain ever made detective stories.

Those will definitely be worth finding.  I imagine Project Gutenberg might have them and I could even use text to speech on my phone and listen if I wanted.

^_^ That’s hilarious MagnusTrask and very creative!

——
Sam:  It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done.

Maggie: Cool it pops, you’re just talking out the trash.

520
Hehe ^_^ thank you.

——
Sam:  I had a dream that the sheriff found out about my perjury  . . . I mean friends’ cat that isn’t paying his pet deposit.

^_^

I should’ve added a snarky reply from Maggie for added fun, but even now I can’t figure out the wording.

522
Hehe thanks ^_^ Mysterious Benefactor

he liked to check it for ticks.

523
Hehe thank you ^_^

——
Rodger:  I know it’s painful Liz, but we had to throw the last case of store bought mayonnaise.  It was four years out of date and Matthew couldn’t even keep it down when he tried it.

524
Thanks ^_^

——
Sheriff Patterson:  I gotta shut the doors quick!  Someone might eavesdropping on our conversation.

Rodger:  That never happens in this house, not even once.   . . .    ;)

525
Hehe yeah.  Thanks :)

I think I was tempted to come up with a reply to the Sheriff, but figured something like “Why do you want to know?” Might not add anything to it.
——
Sheriff Patterson:  Is that kick me sign standard business attire?

Rodger:  No our Governess has the wit to encourage David by letting him play practical jokes if he’s spelled it right and his homework is done.
